Where can I upload my Documents

Site Marker has a fully built-out document storage area!

Site Marker allows it's users to upload several different files into the Documents tab, assuming you have the correct permissions level to do so.

To get to the Documents page go to the Project Dashboard and look at the top bar for "Documents"

There are several different options here:

Creating Folders and File Uploads:

When you click on new folder the screen above pops up allowing you to enter a name and description. once created you can open up the folder and add files or create another folder. You can continue nesting these items as much as you want

Uploading a file works similar to uploading an image to a project or to a pin.

Here it will open up your files to add a file, or you can drag and drop a supported file type into the box and hit save

Files Types:

  • .jpeg
  • .png
  • .gif
  • .webp
  • .bmp
  • .mp4
  • .qiucktime

Maneuvering Around:

This clip shows how you are able to move around the document management system to see and switch between folders

File Options and Archive:

To view a file you can double-click on it to open up a preview.

To view the options menu that each file has click the options button on the far right of each file:

Here you will see:

Upload New Version:

Here you can upload new versions and maintain your files. Here is more information.

Archive:

Archiving allows you to delete the item from files without actually deleting it. Archive mode can be toggled on and off which would then show the archived items.

Edit:

Edit lets you change the name and description of the file

View:

View enters you into the preview mode you can also get into by double clicking on the file

Move:

This mode pops up a view with the folder options. The down carrot key indicated that there are more folders within that folder. You can click on the folder you want to move a file into.

Download:

If you do not have the file already on your computer or device, this option lets you download it to your own file system

Delete:

This deletes your file from the system for good, so make sure you mean to delete and not archive!

Share:

This screen allows you to share a file or folder with someone on the project, or make it public so you can send it to whomever.

The top bar "Public link" lets you hit copy and send a link to that specific file for people who might not be in the project. These people will only be able to see the contents of the folder/file and nothing else in the project or workspace.

If you have other members in your project they will be displayed and you can click on their account to send them the file. It will send them a link by email to view the file in a browser.
